UV Resistant PE Cover

PE cover promotes healthy growth by allowing light through while insulating plants in cooler weather. Stronger than a regular PVC cover, it features an internal grid sandwiched between two layers and is UV-resistant to prevent degradation from sunlight.

Zipped Roll-Up Door

Designed with a roll-up door with zips on either side and ties to secure it open. Leave it open to improve ventilation, encourage pollination and easily tend to plants and vegetables, then close it at night to protect them from the cold, wind and garden pests.

Shelving & Ground Space

Mesh shelves provide a structured growing space with 40cm between each level. Each shelf is removable to accommodate taller plants and give them extra room to grow, while the open base provides handy storage for compost and other essentials.

Secure & Easy to Assemble

Slot the powder-coated tubular steel poles into the plastic connectors, then attach the shelves, place the cover over the top and use the ties to secure it. Guy-lines, U-clips and ground pegs are included to anchor it to the ground and improve stability.

What size walk-in greenhouse do I need?

If garden space is limited, our 4-shelf version provides generous growing capacity without taking up excessive floor space (H195cm x W143cm x D73cm). For gardeners who need extra room, our 8-shelf version offers greater depth and growing space (H195cm x W143cm x D143cm). Always measure your available space carefully to ensure a comfortable fit and allow easy access to your plants.

How hot does a walk-in greenhouse get?

On sunny days, temperatures inside a walk-in greenhouse can rise quickly and exceed 30°C. To protect your plants, aim to keep the temperature below 32°C and ventilate once it reaches around 26°C. Opening the zipped roll-up door improves airflow and helps regulate heat during warmer weather. Using a thermometer inside the greenhouse makes it easier to monitor the temperature.

How long does a walk-in greenhouse cover last?

With proper care, a walk-in greenhouse cover typically lasts 3–4 years. Securing it firmly helps minimise wind stress, while storing the greenhouse away at the end of the growing season can extend its lifespan. Regularly checking fixings and ties will also help keep the cover in good condition. Should you ever need a replacement, walk-in greenhouse covers are available to purchase from Christow.

Very easy for one person to put up shelves are very flimsy wire but OK for price, cover fits well. I put a piece of timber either side to sandwich the cover to the concrete base to keep it up in windy weather, but it does come with storm lashings and ground pegs for soft ground.

Very spacious, plenty of height to allow for all kinds of plants to thrive. Does the job marvellously, and I have seen spectacular growth in just 2 weeks!

I manage to fit about 6 medium pots on each shelf, and there’s plenty of space under the shelving for large pots and grow bags if you don’t have the option of beds for root veggies!

I am growing fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers of all kinds, and they are all thriving and maturing beautifully.

Would highly recommend, as there is plenty of room to move around in. I only wish there was an even bigger option! As a new gardener, this has been such a positive experience in starting to grow my own food, and I will definitely return to christow for my future gardening needs :) the price point was exceptional for the quality, especially compared to other competitors. I also like that the cover is clear rather than green, as it is not at all unsightly.

I love that it has 8 shelves and floor space, and that these can be easily removed to allow for a configuration of your choice :) very adaptable and simple to regulate the temperature. With the nice weather we are having, I tend to leave the door open in the day time, which also allows bees to pollinate, whilst still maintaining warmth, and zipped up at night or in colder, wetter conditions.

Even when placed on concrete and in strong winds, it has held its ground and shape with a few pots placed over the bars inside.

The lettuce photos attached are only 8 days apart, they are thriving in this greenhouse. A perfect way to start for anybody looking for a new hobby or a more sustainable lifestyle :)

P.S. if you are placing on concrete and can’t pin it down, use the guide ropes to pull the excess cover inside and underneath, tying it to the bars inside: this will help to prevent insects, wind, and poor weather from flooding it and damaging your plants.
