What is a Christmas Wreath?

You can also use a wreath as a table centrepiece or hang smaller ones on interior doors to spread festive cheer throughout your home.
What is a Christmas Garland?
A garland is a long, flexible strand of foliage that adds instant greenery to your festive décor. Traditionally draped across a mantelpiece, garlands also look beautiful on stair banisters, around door frames, or along windowsills. Wherever you hang them, they bring texture and warmth to your Christmas styling.
Choosing a Garland Length
Before choosing a garland, think about where you’d like to display it. A smaller garland is perfect for a mantelpiece or windowsill, while a longer one works beautifully over doors or stair rails. Our garlands come in 180cm (6ft) and 270cm (9ft) lengths, but you can easily hook multiple garlands together to create a longer, more dramatic display.
Decorating a Mantelpiece
When styling a garland on your mantelpiece, measure its length and allow an extra 1ft of overhang on each side. If you’d like it to drape in the middle, add another 1ft. For most mantelpieces, a 180cm (6ft) garland gives a perfect fit and beautifully frames your display.
Decorating a Door
To frame a doorway, measure the height of your door and multiply it by two. Add the width measurement, then total them together to find your ideal garland length. All Christow garlands include hooks on each end, so you can easily connect them together for a fuller, seamless look.
Decorating a Banister
For banisters, measure the height of the bottom post and the full length of the handrail. Add these together, then double the total to find the length you need. Most banisters require two 270cm (9ft) garlands — but you can always use fewer if you prefer a more understated look.
